The English Drama Competition, a key event of the 23rd Golden Autumn Foreign Language Festival, has recently concluded. Over 4,000 first-year students have participated in the competition over the past two months.

Guided by more than 30 instructors, students worked in teams to adapt and perform classic works, demonstrating their language proficiency, creativity, and interpretive skills. Beyond language practice, the competition fostered teamwork and creative thinking through collaborative script adaptation, performance, and peer evaluation. Students reported increased confidence in English communication as well as stronger peer connections.
Organized by the College English Teaching Center of SFS, the competition aimed to integrate classroom learning with extracurricular practice. It reflects XJTU's emphasis on learning by doing and underscores its ongoing efforts to enhance students' practical language abilities while cultivating well-rounded, globally competent talents.
