On November 1, 2025, faculty members from the MTI Education Center of SFS won multiple awards at the 2025 MTI Teaching Case Competition, which was held as part of the Second MTI Teaching Case Seminar.

Guided by the China National Committee for Graduate Education of Translation and Interpreting (GETI), the event brought together translation educators and industry representatives from across China to share research findings and explore innovative approaches to training high-level translation professionals. The competition focused on "Innovation in Translation Teaching in the Era of Artificial Intelligence" and attracted over 200 teaching cases from more than 100 universities nationwide. Entries were evaluated based on practicality, innovation, pedagogical adaptability, and industry relevance. After intense competition, SFS teams secured top honors in several categories, including a first prize in the translation group and second and third prizes in the Interpreting group.

SFS's entries integrated AI applications, interdisciplinary methods, and international communication practices, demonstrating distinctive strengths in addressing real-world challenges in translation education. The first-prize case in the Translation category, developed by a team led by Associate Professor Ji Le, responded to demands in the medical sector by innovatively incorporating translation history to strengthen students' comprehensive professional competencies. The interpreting cases, developed by a team led by Associate Professor Xu Mei, adopted immersive training and multi-scenario simulations to improve students' on-the-spot responsiveness and cross-cultural communication skills. Ji Le was also invited to present a report titled "Navigating the Translation Sea with Translation History: A Case Study in Medical Translation Teaching", which received wide acclaim from experts and participants.

These achievements reflect the MTI Education Center's consistent commitment to teaching innovation. The Center has established a training framework featuring the integration of ideological guidance, technology empowerment, and interdisciplinary innovation. Through university-industry collaboration, the application of intelligent translation teaching platforms, and specialized courses in translation technology, the Center continues to elevate teaching quality and cultivate competitive translation professionals.

Looking ahead, the Center will further advance teaching reforms and expand collaboration with universities and industry partners to prepare versatile translators capable of meeting the demands of the AI era, contributing to advancing translation education and China's language service capacity.
