On October 22, 2025, a delegation from the School of Foreign Languages at Xi'an University of Posts and Telecommunications (XUPT) visited SFS for academic exchange and discussions.

During the meeting, SFS's Dean Chen Xiangjing warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced SFS's overall approach to disciplinary development, highlighting key initiatives in faculty development, talent cultivation, and research. Xu Lihua, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages of XUPT, shared their recent developments and distinctive features, noting that this visit aimed to explore innovative pathways for foreign language education in response to evolving demands in higher education.

SFS representatives shared details on several key areas, including the development of organized research, interdisciplinary programs such as the English (Language Data Science) track and the Law+ English program, differentiated approaches to College English teaching, MTI university–industry collaboration mechanisms, and curriculum reforms. Participants also exchanged views on challenges encountered and practical solutions adopted in these areas.

Both sides expressed their willingness to further strengthen collaboration and work together to advance the development of foreign language disciplines in the new era.
