To help students understand the career prospects in the internet industry and internship preparation strategies, the 32nd session of the SFS Career Planning Lecture Series—focused on internet internship and employment—was held on June 9, 2025. Guest speakers Wu Jialing and Heng Yayun shared insights on career path selection and key preparation strategies. The event was organized by the SFS's Career Development Studio and supported by Class 3122 (Master's Program) and the Graduate Student Union.

Wu Jialing encouraged students to explore career possibilities beyond their majors through internships. Drawing on her professional experiences at ByteDance and Li Auto, she emphasized the pivotal role of relevant internships in enhancing future employment competitiveness. She advised students prioritizing opportunities aligned with career goals during their internships at the second-year of mater's program. Wu also recommended focusing on a single professional field during internships, as this helps build specialized expertise and develop essential skills. Additionally, she stressed the importance of balancing ideals with practical considerations when making career choices.

Heng Yayun shared her experience as a consumer product manager, covering core responsibilities such as program design and cross-team collaboration. She provided actionable job-seeking advice, practical interview tips, and outlined the essential competencies required for product management interns.

The lecture equipped students with diverse perspectives on the internet industry and practical approaches for future internships and career planning, assisting them in preparing themselves transit from campus to the workplace.
