On the afternoon of February 26, 2025, SFS held the school round of the 36th "Soaring Cup" Innovation Competition at Han Ying Building, iHarbour. The event aimed to foster students’ innovative spirit, align with national development goals, and advance industry-education-research integration under XJTU’s "6352" Industry-Education Integration Innovation Project and the "1121 model" featuring "one center, one incubator, two chains, and one shared platform".
A panel of judges, including Xu Ming, Xue Xuanji, and student representatives, evaluated five projects. The top entries will advance to the university-level finals. Contestants from the five competing teams delivered well-structured presentations that fully demonstrated their innovative thinking and practical skills.
Wang Jiahui proposed a novel "4+6+X" model to enhance class development. Ma Liqian analyzed adaptation challenges faced by international students (language, payments, transportation) and proposed solutions. Wang Duanduan created virtual characters inspired by campus landmarks and university history for the IP of the Dongting Poetry Club. Zhan Wenqi explored interdisciplinary innovation linking African literature and international politics. Du Lihua demonstrated a dynamic "theory-practice-feedback-optimization" framework for organizational activities.
The competition concluded after presentations and expert feedback. Finalists will proceed to the university-level finals, aiming to uphold the innovation spirit and achieve new breakthroughs.
