The Russian Recitation Competition of the 22nd Foreign Culture Festival was successfully held at XJTU on October 30, 2024. Contestants from SFS's English-Russian Bilingual Program and the School of Humanities and Social Science demonstrated their solid linguistic proficiency and deep affinity for the Russian language. Accompanied by music, participants brought to life the nuanced emotions of iconic Russian poems such as Родина (Motherland) and Письмо Онегина к Татьяне (Onegin's Letter to Tatiana) through their precise pronunciation and expressive vocal delivery.

The judging panel consisted of faculty members from SFS's Russian and German Department, including Ye Lin, Wang Hui, and a Russian teacher Рита Робертовна. Ye emphasized the importance of imbuing recitations with emotion and mastering tonal variations, providing a demonstration by reciting Времена года в России (The Seasons in Russia). Рита Робертовна advised participants to "transform the recitation into a personal narrative", and delivered a rendition of a classic passage from Родина (Motherland) and Письмо матери (Letter to Mother).

Following the judges' deliberations, the awardees were announced. Liang Nana won the Grand Prize, while Wang Guanyi, Li Yuening, and Xu Nuo each received the First Prize. This event deepened students' understanding of Russian language and culture, laid a foundation for the development of intercultural communication skills, and further stimulated enthusiasm for Russian language learning.
