A delegation from the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) at China Pharmaceutical University (CPU) visited SFS on the morning of November 7, 2024.
Zhao Guanghui, Dean of SFL at CPU, gave an overview of the school's general development and talent cultivation.
Zhang Chang'an, Secretary of the SFS Party Committee, shared insights into SFS's cultural identity development, including university-wide cultural events, the internationalization progress with the support of the XJTU Center for Translation and Interpreting, the reform of moral education in foreign language curricula, and other high-quality outcomes.
Prof. Chen Xiangjing, Dean of SFS, introduced the school's history, academic development, interdisciplinary integration, degree program construction, and faculty development, highlighting its distinctive talent training programs, particularly in medical English education.
Li Ying, Vice Dean of SFS, briefed on the SFS's undergraduate program development, including student recruitment, major design, curriculum structure, and faculty teaching quality.
The two sides further exchanged views on performance evaluation mechanisms and the development of postgraduate supervisor teams.
Both sides also expressed that they had conducted in-depth exchanges and learned from each other. They also agreed to enhance collaboration to strengthen foreign language disciplines and cultivate high-quality foreign language professionals.
