On January 28, 2026, the XJTU-RWS Talent Cultivation Cooperation Conference was successfully held between SFS of XJTU and RWS Group. Attendees included Zayd Rasool, Global Vice President of Operations at RWS; Wu Yuming, Senior Operations Director of RWS China; Wang Feng, Language Director of RWS China; Cheng Bing, Vice-Dean of SFS; Shi Yuxuan, Assistant to Dean; Ji Le, Director of the MTI Education Center; and Meng Feng, Admin of Academic Affairs.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed previous cooperation, discussed plans for building overseas internship bases and other collaborative initiatives, and voiced their willingness to deepen further cooperation. Following the talks, Cheng Bing and Zayd Rasool jointly unveiled the renewed Graduate Student Joint Cultivation Base. Towards the end of the conference, Mr. Rasool delivered a lecture on "the impact of AI technology development on future talents", sharing valuable industry insights with faculty and students of XJTU.

In the Q&A session, Mr. Rasool gave detailed replies to students' questions, most of which centered on how foreign language students can boost their core competitiveness amid the AI era. He also noted that RWS will keep sharing premium industrial resources, offering internship placements, and co-developing AI-oriented practical training courses with XJTU, so as to help students improve comprehensive competence through real-world project practice.

This productive exchange between XJTU and RWS has helped establish an AI-era collaborative talent training model featuring "industry demands—university education—enterprise practice". Both sides will further connect academic training university education with industrial development and expand multi-dimensional cooperation to foster high-caliber interdisciplinary talents.
