As XJTU approaches its 130th Anniversary and the 70th Anniversary of its Westward Relocation, an SFS delegation visited companies in Guangzhou and Shenzhen from January 20 to 22 to strengthen alumni ties and university-enterprise cooperation. The delegation consisted of Xu Ming, Deputy Party Secretary of SFS, Shi Yuxuan, Assistant to Dean, and Sun Li, a faculty member of the Japanese Department.
On the afternoon of January 20, the delegation visited PCG Power. The company's CEO, Li Wenxuan, a 2009 graduate of the Japanese Department, received the delegation. They took a tour of the company's office and cultural exhibition areas, gaining insights into its business layout and development plans in photovoltaic power generation and energy storage. The two sides then exchanged views on talent needs and internship opportunities. Li Wenxuan recalled his days at XJTU and expressed that he will continue to support his Alma Mater.

On the afternoon of January 21, the delegation visited Shenzhen Baishu Network Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Dexin Hechuang Technology Co., Ltd., where they were warmly received by the founders, Xiong Zhangpeng and Zhao Zhanwei, both graduates of the 2005 cohort of the Scientific English program. They shared their career paths and entrepreneurial experiences, highlighting the advantages of interdisciplinary learning for foreign language majors and the importance of stepping out of one's comfort zone. The two sides held in-depth discussions on establishing internship and employment bases and building collaborative education mechanisms.

On the morning of January 22, the delegation visited Shenzhen Zhumeng Media Co., Ltd., founded by Zhao Yu, an outstanding graduate of the Class of 1998 of XJTU. The company's "Dream Scholarship", established in 2016, has supported over 70 students from SFS. Both sides reviewed their alumni bond and reached a consensus on the further development of the SFS and the optimization of its financial aid system.

Later the same afternoon, the delegation paid a visit to Shenzhen HYAMED Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and held discussions with Wang Jiangtian, the company's board chair and a 1998 graduate of the Medical English program. Wang Jiangtian elaborated on the company's development history and core biotechnologies, particularly its leading position in anti-aging research and applications. The two sides reached multiple agreements on jointly building internship and employment bases and arranging alumni sharing sessions.

During the visit, several alumni traveled from Hong Kong and Dongguan to meet their former teachers. This visit not only strengthened the bond between the School and its graduates, but also gathered information on corporate talent demands across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It has built a broad platform for university-enterprise cooperation and laid a solid foundation for pooling alumni strengths to fuel the high-quality development of the university.
