On the evening of November 12, 2025, the closing ceremony of the 23rd Golden Autumn Foreign Language Festival was held. Faculty and students gathered to enjoy this grand feast of foreign language culture.
Ye Ming, Director of Pengkang College, Wang Yiming, Deputy Director of Teaching Affairs Department, and many other university leaders and faculty representatives attended the event. Nearly 300 student representatives who won awards during the festival also participated in the event.
On behalf of the university departments, Wang Yiming delivered a speech. He reviewed the 23-year development of the festival, recognized its influence, and commended that the success of this annual event is inseparable from SFS's perseverance, inheritance, and innovation. He said that this event has built a platform for foreign language and cultural exchange across the university, created a vibrant cultural atmosphere of foreign languages, and continuously enhanced the effectiveness of culture-based education. He also expressed that university departments will continue to support this activity, looking forward to more wonderful moments next year.
Li Ying, Vice Dean of SFS, expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the school to university departments for their long-term support in foreign language activities, as well as to all faculty and students for their participation and efforts. She also introduced the innovation of this year's festival, conveyed congratulations to XJTU students who excelled in many high-level foreign language competitions, and expressed the determination of all SFS members to cultivate well-rounded students with global visions.
Launched on September 28, the 23rd Golden Autumn Foreign Language Festival included 23 wonderful events and attracted more than 5,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, with over 500 participants winning awards.
The festival is not only an interactive stage for language and cultural exchange and learning, but also a concentrated display of the university's foreign language teaching achievements and students' language competence. Going forward, the SFS will continue to develop foreign language education and contribute to cultivating well-rounded foreign language talents with international horizons.
