The fifth "My XJTU" English Speaking Video Competition, part of the XJTU's 2025 Golden Autumn Foreign Language Festival, has successfully concluded. The event attracted entries from 531 students, with a total of 221 videos submitted. Twenty-three outstanding works by 71 students were eventually recognized by the judging panel.

The competition, themed "A glimpse of XJTU development", encouraged students to share stories reflecting XJTU's growth and its connection to national development. In their three-minute English videos, participants captured key moments in XJTU's history, shared inspiring stories of fellow students and faculty, or explored how their academic fields align with the university's development. Their fluent English and heartfelt narratives offered a compelling glimpse into the spirit of XJTU.

Organized by the College English Teaching Center of SFS, the event aimed to enrich extracurricular English learning and inspire students to embrace the spirit of XJTU. It not only provided a platform for students to improve their English speaking skills, but also deepened their sense of belonging and pride in XJTU, as well as their understanding of the university's role in the broader context of China's development.
