On September 27, 2025, the 39th "Voice of China" Postgraduate Chorus Competition took place at iHarbour. SFS and three other schools formed a joint choir and won a third prize and the Best Demeanor Award for their performance of the song At Long Last.

With the theme "Sing for the New Journey: Past and Ahead", the competition brought together postgraduate students to pay tribute to the nation's revolutionary history and the dedication of its people. After weeks of rehearsals, the joint team, which included over 100 students from School of Foreign Studies, School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering, School of Physics, and School of Mathematics and Statistics, delivered a heartfelt and creatively arranged performance of At Long Last, featuring an innovative rap segment. Their rendition broke away from the stereotype of traditional choir singing, delivering a powerful and emotionally rich stage presence. The choir's energetic performance and cohesion exemplified the spirit of youth, leaving a lasting impression and winning warm applause from the audience.

This achievement not only highlights the artistic capabilities of the team, but also underscores the importance of teamwork and perseverance throughout the preparation process.

At Long Last, the song performed by the joint team, affectionately recalls the past in its lyrics and vividly depicts aspirations for the future.
