On the afternoon of September 26, 2025, SFS held its first international faculty meeting of the 2025 academic year. The meeting was chaired by SFS's Dean Chen Xiangjing, with over 15 international faculty members in attendance, as well as leaders and representatives from various departments within the school.
Chen first expressed her appreciation for the contributions of international faculty members and extended a warm welcome to new colleagues. She then provided an overview of the school's organizational structure, academic programs, and recent progress in teaching and research. She encouraged the international faculty to actively engage in research teams based on their interests and expertise.
Zhang Ying, SFS's Admin for International Affairs, introduced SFS's newly revised international faculty handbook—A Guide for New International Faculty Members, offering practical guidance on campus facilities, daily services, and administrative procedures to help new faculty members settle in smoothly.
The meeting also featured a round of self-introductions where faculty members shared their departments and courses. During the discussion session, participants exchanged views on university work and life and offered constructive suggestions. To celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, the school presented mooncakes to the international faculty as a gesture of appreciation and festive cheer.
Attendees expressed their gratitude for the school's thoughtful arrangements and reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to SFS's development.
