As 2024 came to a close, SFS hosted a spectacular New Year funfair, bustling with crowds and festive vibes that lit up the campus. Let’s capture the highlights!

Knowledge Meets Play— Game Paradise

Games are indispensable highlights of the funfair. A series of unique language-themed games were designed, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the charm of English through joyful experiences.

Word Ping-Pong Challenge: Participants used chopsticks to pick lettered ping-pong balls from a box, carefully assembling them to complete words on a puzzle board. This hands-on game tested both dexterity and vocabulary, creating a tense yet lively atmosphere.

English Riddles: The riddle part buzzed with excitement, featuring witty wordplay and brainteasers. Participants racked their brains. When answers were unveiled, cheers and laughter echoed, showcasing their grasp of English.

Word Frenzy: Participants raced against time to create six 4-letter words from letter tiles. Though “brain-burning”, the activity successfully boosted spelling skills through friendly competition.

Treasures on the Red Envelope Wall

Victory didn’t end with games—attendees drew from a red envelope wall! Prizes ranged from elegant notebook sets and plush toys to practical items like detergent and towels. Everyone hoped to be the lucky one with their desired gift.

Candy Making and Wish Wall

Beyond games, visitors enjoyed making cotton candy, a hit with all ages.

The wish wall, adorned with colorful cards, held dreams for 2025—from academic success to health and world peace. Each wish sparkled as a heartwarming scene, fueling hopes for the new year.
