On November 17, 2024, XJTU hosted the 38th "Voice of China" Graduate Student Choir Competition. The event, themed "United Hearts, Shared Dreams: Singing for the Era", aimed to pay tribute to the Chinese culture, celebrate the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, and express love for the motherland.
A joint team of students from the School of Foreign Studies, the School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering, the School of Physics, and the School of Mathematics and Statistics won the Outstanding Contribution Award and Excellence Award.

Preparation required dedication and teamwork. After selecting the competition piece "My Motherland and I", the team, including 21 students from the SFS, engaged in intensive rehearsals, from vocal training to choreography. Team members were driven to present a perfect rendition of the song for their country. This memorable experience of striving for collective honor and celebrating the motherland's birthday added a vibrant touch to the SFS's cultural scene.
Xu Ming, Deputy Secretary of the SFS Party Committee, along with leaders from partner schools, came to cheer on the team before the performance.
Following a heartfelt recitation, all team members used their voices to depict a vivid picture of the motherland, express their love for the country, and conveyed the determination to forge ahead in the new era.
