On October 24, 2024, a delegation from Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology (IMUST), including Yang Lidong, Director of the Graduate School; Geng Wei, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages (SFL); and Bi Linna, faculty member of the SFL, visited the SFS at XJTU. Representatives from XJTU, including Prof. Zhang Chang'an, Secretary of the SFS Party Committee; Ji Le, Director of the MTI Education Center; and Xu Mei, Deputy Director of the MTI Education Center, attended the exchange meeting.

Zhang Chang'an welcomed the delegation and briefed on the SFS's development. He shared insights on SFS's globalization and digitalization efforts, as well as XJTU's measures and achievements in faculty recruitment, industry-university partnerships, and talent recommendation to international organizations. Geng Wei introduced SFL's history, priorities, and challenges in MTI program development. Ji Le emphasized specific strategies for integrating with industry and enhancing the quality of professional graduates, while Xu Mei shared the school's initiatives, such as the MTI Forum, to improve student competencies.

Both sides exchanged views on postgraduate education program, degree program evaluations, practical teaching for postgraduates, and discipline development strategies and talent cultivation by leveraging regional characteristics and local industry advantages. They expressed their intention to further strengthen inter-university exchanges and regional cooperation to better serve national strategic needs.
