On March 24, 2025, a delegation from the School of Foreign Studies (SoFS) at Harbin Engineering University (HEU), led by Dean Zhu Dianyong, along with three other representatives, visited SFS at XJTU. XJTU representatives included Chen Xiangjing, Dean of the SFS; Zhang Chang'an, Secretary of the SFS Party Committee; Qian Xi, Assistant to the Dean; and Peng Fengling, Director of the English Department.

The two sides held discussions at Shaw Building. Zhu Dianyong introduced the basic information of HEU's SoFS and the purpose of the visit.

Chen Xiangjing welcomed the delegation and outlined SFS's progress in discipline construction, degree programs, large-scale public foreign language teaching, and talent recruitment.

Zhang Chang'an shared practices in academic development, talent introduction and development, and achievements in serving national, regional, and university goals.

Qian Xi presented XJTU's college English curriculum system.

Peng Fengling highlighted English program reforms, focusing on the Language Data Science and Law + English directions.

Both sides exchanged insights on teaching, research, disciplinary construction, degree program development, faculty recruitment and training, and internationalization.

The visit strengthened mutual understanding and laid the groundwork for future collaboration.
