XJTU wrapped up a show for the completion of studies of the Summer Intensive English Practice Program on May 12, 2024.
The event started with an opening speech by Daniel Pennings, a lecturer at SFS, who highlighted the importance of learning languages.
Selected teams from three courses — "Appreciation and Performance of Classics," "Three-Minute Academic English Presentations," and "International Communication of Chinese Stories" — took the stage with various performances, including English plays, academic speeches, and cultural presentations.
Both the audience and the teachers from the College English Teaching Center voted for "My Favorite Performance" afterwards. The English drama Westward Relocation, which vividly depicted XJTU's history, captured the First Prize.
Dr. Edward Lewis, the lecturer at SFS, closed the event by recognizing students' creativity and expressiveness, and he encouraged students to keep striving in language studies.
