On May 11, 2024, a five-member delegation led by Zhang Junmei, Vice Dean of the School of Languages and Media (SLM) of Anhui University of Finance and Economics (AUFE) visited SFS. At the meeting, Zhang Chang'an, Secretary of the SFS Party Committee, and four other SFS leaders extended a warm welcome to the delegation. Both sides exchanged their experiences in foreign language education.

The SLM side briefed about their school's teaching and research, talent recruitment, faculty team development, the Business English program, the college foreign language teaching and research, and language laboratory infrastructure.

The SFS side shared their experiences in the school's teaching and research, faculty development, foreign language talent cultivation, college English teaching reform, English Department development and the progress of the newly established English program —Language Data Science.

The two sides also shared their plans for undergraduate education, "foreign language + specialty" interdisciplinary education, curriculum design and student recruitment.

After the meeting, the SLM delegation visited SFS's Simultaneous Interpretation Laboratory, the Specialized Teaching Laboratory, and the College English Teaching Laboratory.

Both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in faculty recruitment, teaching, and talent cultivation to advance foreign language education at both institutions.
