The 63rd XJTU Sports Meeting took place at the Xingqing Campus on April 17 and 18, 2026. SFS postgraduates competed fiercely in various events and displayed vibrant youthful energy throughout the two-day event.

Opening Ceremony

At the opening ceremony, made up of faculty members and students, the SFS contingent marched into the field with confidence. Holding multilingual inspirational slogans in their hands, the contingent members showcased the School's strengths in language education and intercultural communication. Their performance embodied the vitality, confidence, and global vision of the SFS community.

 

Competition Highlights

Women's 100m Hurdles

The Sports Meeting kicked off with the women's 100m hurdles. Zhang Xin topped her heat and took fourth place overall, delivering an impressive performance.

Women's 3000m Run

Wang Hongyan maintained a steady pace throughout the grueling 3,000-meter race. When fatigue set in during the final laps, she persisted all the way to the finish line, demonstrating remarkable perseverance and resolve.

Long Jump

Zhang Xin and Li Yiwen competed in the long jump, demonstrating speed, power, and control with each attempt. Zhang Xin won the fifth in her round.

Women's 4×400m Relay

Song Qiaoling, Wang Hongyan, Zhang Xin, and Zeng Licun represented the SFS in the women's 4×400m relay. Their smooth baton exchanges reflected outstanding teamwork, mutual trust, and coordination throughout the race.

Figure-Eight Team Rope Skipping

Ten students represented the SFS in the figure-eight rope skipping event. The two rope turners moved in perfect sync to sustain a steady rhythm, while the jumpers remained concentrated for seamless transitions. Despite a few brief interruptions, the team quickly regained its rhythm through mutual encouragement and claimed third place.

One-Minute Single Rope Skipping

Unlike the figure-eight rope skipping event, this competition highlighted individual performance, with each participant striving to complete as many jumps as possible within one minute. Representing SFS, He Jingchen and nine other students posted solid results, with many beating their personal bests. Their aggregate score secured the second prize.

Over the two-day event, SFS's postgraduates embodied vibrant youthful vitality. Looking ahead, they will carry forward this spirit of resilience and confidence, using language as a bridge and perseverance as momentum to forge a more dynamic future.
